The most interested curiosity remains the ancient secular Lime tree, one of the oldest tree of Italy and symbol of Macugnaga. Even in Staffa, in Via Prati, stands the Historical Museum of the Mountain and Contrabands with ancient testimonies.
In the public gardens in 1999 for the occasion of the Millennium, a monument was erected to all the victims of the wars.
The parish church is full of frescoes and paintings related to the Assumption of the Virgin, patron saint of Macugnaga, which is celebrated on August 15th.
