Description
Follow the itinerary number 6 to the junction above the Barbaluboden meadow saddle.
Here you turn right through some little valleys where the chamois graze freely, until you reach the bivouac (1950 mt.). It has been obtained through the conservative restoration of a mountain pasture hut, abandoned for decades.
The view over the Monte Rosa is amazing from here.
A path then goes up the ridge to the cross (2457 mt.), which was placed in 1954 and dominates Macugnaga.
